Working on paper cutting to create cross sections of the gut, layering these to get a sense of perspective. Preparing activities for the next workshop with Quadram scientists at the local library tomorrow.
The first workshop featured a Quiz pepreapred by Jenni Rant of SAW trust ( Science Art and Writing) and Dr Lindsay Hall, head of Hall Lab at Quadam. We then explored the structure of bacteria through drawing. The drawings were then bought to life within my model theatre. Battles of E.Coli and Bifidum bacteria commensed in the gut. Discussions ranged from bacteria's horizontal gene transfer to stabilo 3 in 1 crayons.
