Jennie’s shadow theatre workshop at the Heads Together Seminar: Youth Co-Production at Wellcome Collection, explored the theme of body image and drew on Wellcome’s collection of objects and images. Participants had just a few minutes to work with Jennie to create a scene using props including cardboard cut-out tools, body parts and images drawn in sand, alongside wigs and props.
A jolly time was had by all, as men dressed as women to have plastic surgery on their cardboard breasts and struggled to fit into tiny corsets. Babies were delivered with cardboard pliers and old fashioned amputations were carried out while acetate blood spurted everywhere.
