Vale Town is a magical and humerous animation and virtual reality world. It explores the drawings and ideas of students with cerebral palsy, from the Vale Resource Base at Northumberland Park School, London. The idea for the project came when Jennie had a long period of immobility after a back injury. She found that the boredom and frustration of this was relieved by computer games such as Myst, which allow you to explore beautiful, imaginary worlds. Jennie's project enabled the immobile students to create and then to experience the freedom of flying through, their own virtual world.

Jennie held workshops with the students who made drawings and models, which she then developed using groundbreaking technology with Professor Kalawsky at Loughborough University. The work was supported by NESTA - National Endowment for Science and the Arts, the Gallery of the Future and the London Arts Board and won a National Children’s Art Award in 2001.
