Jennie worked with patients and staff at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals' pulmonary & cardiac rehabilitation sessions. Jennie talked about her research into historical exercise manuals from the Wellcome Library and participants discussed their own personal histories of exercise and created self-portraits posing behind a backlit screen.
Jennie produced the portraits in transparent layers emphasisng movement and light. The exhibition opened at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in 2010 then toured to other public London venues including Guys Hospital, Unviersity College Hospital and The Original Gallery, Hornsey in 2011. The project was hosted by rb&hArts at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation and funded by a grant from the Wellcome Trust. The grant also supported the development of Jennie's Mini Shadow Theatre product, which she gave away at exhibition launch events.
