'Beneath the Surface' is a live shadow show which begins with an intimate bedtime story scene of mother and child, as the boy drifts off to sleep he dreams that he enters an illustration of a pond and shrinks to the size of an insect. Dazzled by beautiful microscopic diatoms and terrified by water scorpions he escapes on the back of a great crested newt. 'Beneath the Surface' was commissioned by Frog Life and was performed at Railway Fields Nature Reserve, Haringey, London in 2010, it will also be seen at Guys Hospital and at Idle Valley Nature Reserve. It lasts fifteen minutes and is available for bookings, with or without shadow show workshops.
